After reading the above post, and yours, I have concluded the same thing.

He quoted a number like $13,000 for 3 years. That is most than $4300 for these
forums alone per year. That is WAY to high.

If that is the _actual_ cost of the forums, I would shut down immediately and
find a lesser expensive venue.

And for the subject of lawyers for this place, I would just ammend the TOS to
included that the opinions here are of the general membership and not that of
ICD Chess. Also that it is a FREE venue of discussion and if someone was to sue
because they got banned because they were being an ass, well that would be easy
to beat.

Just because you have been granted membership here doesn't mean you keep it if
your found to be in breach of the rules.

That would be almost like going into a restraunt and spraying string confetti
everywhere, and then suing the establishment for kicking you out.

I believe his costs are high, but never the less I donated. I like it here, but
that is not to say it can't survive elsewhere.
