Switch to Linux or if you insist on using the evil empire's bug ridden software for some unknown masochistic reason, download and run adaware and spybot. Never ever run M$IE unless you are running Windoze Update or need to access certain sites that have to have captive X like pcpitstop.com although I think it has a plugin for Net(AOL)scrape. or if you are rich and don't care about having much software available get one of those Mac contraptions you can always reformat it and install Linux I think.
