Steven,
I am one of those members who indicated that I would be willing to do a donation
to help keep the site up. Yet I still have not contributed. There is just one
thing that has held me back, which may have been answered by your post. before I
contribute I want to know how much it is going to take the keep the forum up
going forward.

You indicate that your goal is $4400 and that will guarantee to keep the forum
going for the next year. Can we expect that amount will be needed each year
going forward?

the reason I bring this up is i'm sure there would be more people like me who
would like to contribute, but would feel better knowing how much is going to be
needed. maybe if you put a notice of the costs right next to the links at the
top, you might get a better response.

The other reason I wanted a commitment from your organization about the costs of
maintaining the site was to make sure that you didn't need such high donations
that even if many of us did contrubute, you still wouldn't be able to keep the
site up.

In my humble opinion, $4400 per year does seem a bit steep, but I don't know
much about the behind the scenes costs that go on, so I will donate anyway. I
believe that the more information you can give us about why you choose that
number, IE... $XXX.XX for this, YYY for that, the better the response you will
recieve. Or, if you are unable to justify the number, don't expect as much.

Well, time to go put my money where my mouth is.
