I know Rebel has code for this. Perhaps Ed's website has info on this? A .pdf was just posted here moments ago that has the contents of Ed's programming insights that he has shared thus far with the computer chess community so I would recommend giving that a quick search. My scan through it did not show anything relating to obvious recaptures, but perhaps I was too hasty and missed it. I'm confident others will have thoughts on this also. Roy
