This problem is easy but there may be more serious problems for the arbiter:
Suoppose the game that I post in the bottom of this post happens.
What do you decide
White claim a win because the mating move was legal when black claims that he
was thought that white played Bg5
Suppose it happens between 2 chess programs
Do you decide win for white or for black?(you can decide win for white because
it is the responsibility of black not to continue after an illegal move)
