>CTF is the place where all the CCC members could discuss what they had in their >minds. > >So he we have the core of CTF. while this might have been the original intention of the CTF 7 years or so ago, from what i have seen of the CTF(for the few months i visited it)the site no longer fit's your description. from what i saw there were basically two seperate and distinct sets of members most of the members there never post on the CCC and certainly vice verca there are of course cross-over members who post in both forumns but this was not common. the vast majority either post in one forumn or the other ,not both as to lurkers ..well this is impossible to track, but if they are only lurking then they are not "expressing their minds" so what we have at this time are really two seperate and disntict boards whose members for the most part are not the same people and with very different interests the present day linkage between the two boards just no longer makes any sense to me. this discussion of the future of the CTF only came about when the sponsers asked for monetary help to keep the CCC going myself and several of the members here(including a present and a past moderator of the CCC) expressed a resistance to having any of the required funds going towards the CTF (for all of the reasons discussed in previous threads) since the members of the CCC have now been informed that NO DONATIONS given by CCC members will go towards the CTF then the issue becomes a moot point(for me at least) although i was hoping that we could take up Peter or Sean on their offers to host the CTF Best Steve
