In one of the G25 playoff games in the 1998 US Championships between Seirawan and Kudrin to determine who gets to particpate in the FIDE championships this year, Seirawan forced a KR vs. KN ending on Kudrin, even though they both knew it was a draw. About 20 moves later, they agreed on a draw by repetition. However, Seirawan was hoping that Kudrin would make a mistake and lose, or lose on time. I'm sure this happens a lot. KarinsDad
