Like this issue in question, if the engine smell on broken pipe (returning error from read/readfile) it can take the itself down the correct way. If the Arena author want to share some of his thought he is more than welcome into this forum. Also, testing your own creature against beta's isn't something you normaly do so it isn't important for me to have access to the latest beta version of a gui. The reason I don't play with Arena myself is because I almost only play games as human against engines and the nasty deley when you try to move a piece have stoped me to go any further.
