CMX does support WB engines. Did you read the documentation? Here is some text
from the ReadMe.txt file:

"Because Chessmaster 10th Edition now uses the Winboard protocol for all of its
chess engines, these engines are actually SEPARATE programs that constantly
communicate with the Chessmaster main program."
