Subject: Why is Crafty 19.17 significantly weaker than 19.08 ?

When I knew that Crafty19.17 was available , I downloded it , and installed on
CB GUI
everything was OK , but , when I tested it against 19.08 , I got some very odd
results : in blitz 4'+2" i got 19.17 10.5/30 games
                               19.08 19.5/30
Maybe it's the blitz , so I tried again  with 80'+60"
tests are still on but provisional results are striking:
  19.17 0.5/4 games
  19.08 3.5/4
How is it possible?
