We know that humans, typically GM's are scared of computers. We know that they as black play for a draw, (typically, 99% of time) and we know as white, they will try and come out of book with the biggest advantage possible, see if they can win with it, and then quickly retreat back to a draw sooner rather than later. There is a lot of debate as to which program is best for that, I know that Shredder for instance is great vs programs because other programs always try and win, they are fighting for the win, then retreat to a draw, then crumble to a loss, the key difference is that the computer always fights for an advantage at the start/middle game. So what if, There was a tournament where all the programs were set to Draw Score 100 and just 1 program is set to default. run the tournament, then do it again, this time with a different engine set to default and the rest at drawscore 100 this should find the best program that can win when the other opponent is just searching for a draw, typically what humans (grandmasters especially) do this is the only way we can determine which programs 'fights' the hardest for a win, and is best at it.
