the objection to CTF came about only after the need for members to make a
donation to keep the CCC arose
if we now must pay then i objected to supporting the CTF for all of the reasons
i gave in many many posts
to be fair my freind, you must read the posting from the start(perhaps 2 weeks
ago).once it became clear that NO donations of CCC members will go towards
maintaining CTF then for me the issue became a dead one

this does not mean that i approve of the CTF in its current state
nor does it mean that i even want the CTF to be linked with the CCC
I DO NOT

although i only discovered the CCC and CTF about 2 years ago, from what i have
learned about the begginning of the CTF it is nowhere near the same any longer
the early begginning of the CTF was to be a place for members of CCC to discuss
other topics aside from chess computers, but this is not now the case
most members from the CCC do not post on the CTF and Vice Versa
the vast majority of the threads on the CTF i find objectionable, and you know
this from a while ago when i resgined there and posted my reasons
the board must be more reasonably moderated.rascist posts must be deleted
posts of hate against jews, african americans ,gays, etc,tc.have no place on the
CTF and should not remain undeleted

you should also know i send in my donation BEFORE i knew for certain if the meny
would be used to support both boards
even though i did not want one penny of my money to go towards the CTF it was
more important to me to keep the CCC going under ICD'S most capable hands ,even
if it meant keeping the CTF
it was only AFTER i made my donation ,did the membership learn that a single
member made a donation large enough to pay for the CTF on its own.

Steve
