I was aware of your results for 35 games, 60% for Pro Deo v Aristarch. Not sure whether you used Tbs or not, as Pro Deo does not use Tbs, and my test did not use Tbs. That may have made some difference. Also my test machine several orders of magnitude faster than your three test machines while the actual times approximately equivalent, important when longer time controls (more equivalent time) a factor. Also a different type of test, FRC test set, although similar in nature to yours, a Nunn set, to minimize/eliminate the effect of opening book. Finally, I don’t see one 35 game match as producing definitive results, as I am sure you would be the first to say. Aristarch is certainly a strong free engine, and, in my view, a worthy opponent for Pro Deo. Chris
