Why didn't the moderators just warn him and if he continued, ban him from the
board? (The offensive poster, not Steve).

That's what I don't like about CTF - it's just a forum for immaturity, hate,
rascism, and ad hominem attacks.

If some posters on CCC "need" to vent on CTF, to remain civil on CCC, then they
should simply grow up. I don't care if their program can beat God, or can't beat
a 4 year old in chess.

If anyone here can't stay civil and post like adults, they should adjourn to the
sandbox. Every program will make stupid moves from time to time, but there's no
need or justification for calling the programmer stupid, etc. Likewise, if the
program's time management is dumb, there's no need to call the programmer a
dummy. Maybe he/she made a dumb decision with the algorithim chosen, but lots of
trials are necessary to improve an engine, even a little.

Saying we "need CTF" to vent, is like saying we "need diapers" for when we
choose to shit our britches. Why do we need such a choice, let alone a "club"
for that kind of behavior?
