His principles are not at stake. Steve said that a CTF (and CCC of course)
member already secured the financial stake of CTF, so any donation he made,
would in fact be towards the future of CCC. He refuses to support CCC because of
a hyperlink at the top of the page to that forum. It has been pointed out again
and again that despite the claims that it is 'filled' with hate, discrimination,
and racism, it isn't so. I even went so far as to compile a long list of the
last 30 threads or so there. There were some 2-3 by the same member that might
be classified as bigoted. The rest discussed politics, foreign affairs, health,
and a wide range of subjects. If you wish to point out 2-3 threads by a single
member to classify CTF as a place 'filled' with hate, discrimination and
whatnot, be my guest.

The fact is that the threads are either ignored by some or addressed by others.
Addressed doesn't mean applauded either, so that hardly qualifies as universal
acceptance and agreement with their content. Should they be deleted offhand?
That indeed is a good question, and one of internal CTF moderation. It is up to
CTF members and moderators and has been debated on more than one occasion, and
will no doubt be so again. However, none of this serves to classify CTF as it
has been by some of the extreme conservative members here. For every bigoted
thread initiated by some member, I can point to 20 that aren't. Yet that bigoted
thread is the measuring stick being used, and you can be sure I won't agree with
that.

I saw in another reply here, that one member pointed to a thread by Tim on an
asnwer to being disturbed to the extreme at 2 AM. I have no problem with the
post. Many people get extremely upset at this. Should it be deleted? It would
never even cross my mind to do so, yet someone thought it should. That's what
freedom of speech is about. It says you can speak an opinion that isn't agreed
with by the majority. It also means that the majority will be able to voice that
disagreement. And they most assuredly do.

The diversity of views, cultures, etc. are what help make CTF the fascinating
forum it is. It is made up for the most part by active CCC posters BTW.
