I can't drop into qsearch in check because I would have extended. The cutoff
happens when in a qsearch from a non-checking move. If the qsearch would
generate the check it would see the mate and I would be happy!

However, I am re-checking exactly why and where it is cutting off in case there
is a different problem causing this.
