Subject: Pro Deo question to Ed Schröder

Manfred Meiler, Rudolf Klamert and myself are wondering
about the necessity or function of the REBEL.INI file
when using Pro Deo 1.0 with Odd Gunnar Malins UCI-adapter
(=rebeluci.exe in Pro Deo) und Fritz-/Arena-GUI. Some
parameters in the REBEL.INI are identical with those
in the rebel.eng. After deleting the REBEL.INI the
engine produces a new (identical) REBEL.INI file. The
main question is: if I am going to change a parameter
in rebel.eng, is it also necessary to make the same
changement in the REBEL.INI provided this parameter
is therin included? Many thanks for your helb.
