First, try crafty. New versions. To be sure that the latest egtb.cpp is being
used. If crafty works, the files are fine. It is possible that the program you
are using has a version of egtb.cpp that is too old and that it won't work with
the files you mention.
Crafty works with them just fine when I start it and test directly on the ftp
machine.
