The major cost is the 24x7 support. Although the cost will not reduce pro-rata, this is at the 'de luxe' end of the range, and members should consider whether they would be happy with alternatives such as: 12*7, 12*5, 8*7 or 8*5. How much support does the bulletin board need anyway? I don't expect the supporter to be woken outside of office hours in the interests of CCC. My own level of interest is such that, if it were down, I would come back some time later - no problem. CCC is 'real-time useful' when playchess has not been open to guests, but otherwise is a background item for me, not justifying 24*7 support from my point of view.
