Since the Final Score of the Arena Opening book was so close between the Wizard
-v02 and the Mainbook of Harry Schnapp, and both of these engines are so close
in rating I decided to have two more matches of 20 games. The first match 20
games with Movei using Harry Schnapp Mainbook and Jonny using the Wizard-v02
book. The second match will be with books and engines reversed.
It is clear that either the Mainbook and the Wizard book are stronger than Movei
own book according to the previous matches, but a CCC member wrote to me saying
that the outcome could have been because Jonny 2.70 is stronger than
Movei00_8_251s. I really don't think that Jonny is stronger, but what I do think
is that the influence of the Opening books determined the outcome of those
matches.
For those that found this experiment useful, or should I say those that like to
use Jonny 2.70 the Wizard Opening Book is probably the best Arena book
available. Also using shorter time controls could give you different results,
but Jonny is known to perform better at longer time control, the longer the
better. I can't say the same for List512 or any other engines, but there is a
strong indication that the Wizard book is a solid book, and it will becomes even
better with the next version.

PS: What do you think that the outcome will be? My opinion is that it will be
very even. probably Movei winning one match and then Jonny winning the other.
