i know english is not your mother tongue (it's not mine either), but i do hope
you realize that "everybody" doesn't mean really everybody here. it means that
after kasparov adopted a neglected opening, lots of people followed him. of
course not 100%, and not even 50%, but lots of people tried the KID because of
kasparov.

likewise, i am sure that lots of chess programmers attempted to use SE, because
DB used it. i know i attempted to use SE in my checkers program (to no avail). i
would have expected that if 10 or 20 programmers used it, at least one would
have stood up and said "i tried it and it worked for me, my program X with SE
plays Y elo better than without". sergei is the first person i have ever heard
saying this, just now.
