There's a patch to gcc that does the same thing for free.  You'll have to build
the compiler yourself to use it though.  Google for the gcc homepage and then
look on the left side for a link called "Extensions".  I used to use
Boundschecked for Visual Studion but this is just as good.

Excellent suggestion to use this for finding bugs, btw.  I run with it every
couple of weeks.
