a Chess player gets the opening knowledge by knowing the opening principles as well as reading books (opening theories). Opening Novelties are created by deep analysis of various positions. Can u imagine a chess grandmaster who has no opening theory knowledge only basic principle of Opening Knowledge ? The same will happen to a chess engine if not used with Opening Book than why to use it without openings book or develop it with that aim if u want it to play upto Grandmaster level ? Thanks Vikrant
