100 - 150 is the official number mentioned by SMK. In my personal view it is
less. Lets say 80 - 100. But NO guarantee an that! :-)
To decide if you want to wait is on you!

What do you mean by "simpler"?

No, as I said, the Classic-Engine is weaker than Shredder8 (Two different
engines!)

Whereever you have read that is is not the complete truth!
You can not use the Shredder8-native engine, but if you install
Shredder8-Chessbase there is pure UCI engine of Shredder8 in the Engines folder
which can be used in every UCI-capable GUI. So you can use this Shredder8-UCI
engine in the Shredder-Classic GUI (which is its "natural habitat" :-) )
