Hallo Mike,

I have received the native version of List 512 from the author. I got the engine
some weeks before the publication planned originally. The UCI version of List
5.12 was published instead of the native version for some time later. I had
already played numerous games with the native version at this time.

For which reasons the native version wasn't published isn't known to me.
It was assured to me by the author that the versions are identical. I have
therefore used the engine furthermore.

I don't understand your problem. The identical "UCI version" of this engine
stands by the free download at the disposal. Why do you cause such a problem
from this?

The author has decided well for any reasons to publish no native version. He
will have his reasons. Very praiseworthy I find it, that he still makes his very
strong engine available free. As a "UCI version" the engine can practically in
everybody GUI be used. As native engine only with the Chessbase GUI. I see
nothing negative there.

I assume that no native version of List will be published in future. I then will
test with the UCI version, too.

Best regards

Klaus
