I think that you are correct. Qsearch is just a combination of static exchange
evaluator and an incheck evaluator. By putting them both together as they serve
the same purpose, ie. extending the horizon at the last move, it hopes to cement
the overall evalutation of the moves being selected.
I used to use seperate routines to do both.
