The Fritz GUI made this (only if 3, 4 or 5 pieces on the board) but we are thinking that is the job of the programmers, not of the GUI programmers. I don't like the way the ChessBase programmer go here. Not easy to understand: If you click on don't support tablebases, this means that the support for 3,4 and 5 TB positions are managed by the GUI. The most are thinking that the complete GUI don't support the table-bases and the engines too. But the engines managed the tablebases, not the GUI (if more as 3, 4 or 5 pieces on the board). But you can used different directorys for TBs for every engine. This is just great if you play with ponder = on. Each engine have an own TB directory (if you have interest) and must in ponder = on matches not used one harddisk. I believe no other GUI have such options. TheKing don't supported tablebases! Try the following line in Arena: Arena Menue System: Engines / Manage / details / special The line ... Init String file ... Here you can give the complete settings for TheKing very easy. You know that we have an own Support Forum. In times our team have not many time more esay to find Arena messages and to give a short answere. Have fun with Arena ... Best Frank
