Either that, or a new position (or several positions) should be created specifically for this purpose. Reading all the posts that are complained about is the moderators job, as well. By using a voting system, the moderators might be completely eliminated. Let each person nominate any post for deletion...if a sufficient number of others follow suit, it's gone. The community self moderates. Of course, this requires programming, but might volunteer. That would eliminate the hassles of moderators completely. The legal liabilities really don't exist. See www.ChillingEffects.org. Most of these suits would be dismissed as frivilous on summary judgment, but I doubt if even one suit would be filed. Roger
