I think it's all the "small" but useful contributions from the many members that makes CCC interesting. If CCC only has members who always answer posts but do not generally make posts of their own, then CCC will have little activity = uninteresting. Usually CCC is full of posts by cc amateurs with good questions or posts by engine testers--that is the true CCC. How much is 50$ worth to the occasional poster with specialization? -- I don't know, but I'm thinking they have a larger life outside of CCC and will use the money on something else. Michael
