Even though I supported the idea of membership fees at the beginning few weeks back, I must say I changed mind about it since then having some more information now. If the number of members that would contribute is between 100 and 200 and the total amount of money needed is above 4000$ then I think it does not work. Even though I donated 25$ (as a student) I think more than 10$ a year as a membership fee for reading a forum is too much. 50$ is way off. If 200 members could stand 10$ a year this would give 2000$, which would be a more realistic amount. I'm pretty sure with 2000$ we could somehow maintain a moderated forum (moderators work for free). We can ask around if some people could run a forum with this amount of money. I feel sorry for ICD who spend a lot of time and money to maintain CCC. But a yearly gain of 4000$ for a 200 people forum in really _not_ a realistic way to go in my opinion. If we had 1000 paying members, it would look different of course. Just my two cents, regards Andy
