There is a lazyness factor when one is able to take back moves. I play rated games (no takebacks) on Fritz 5 and put the irritating TalkCD on, and learned to hate my opponent, despite the fact that it is artificial (I wish it made more insulting comments, even swear!!). I dumb it down, of course, and still lose about 2/3 of the games. My blunders are punished mercilessly. Sometimes I will play Doctor, Comet, and Crafty (rated) to get some victories. I agree that alot is psychological. You want to destroy your opponent, and you hate to lose. You have to win sometimes though.
