Hi,

 The question is not what else can we buy with 50$, the question is : How much
should we pay for a forum?

 There is lot of forums out there: news groups and web based one. I did not know
of only one that I should pay to read. All those forums are of the same quality
as CCC (IMHO) so lot's of people offer the host a new Computer Chess forum, I
said go for it. If we can do it with volunters and a cheap hosting (maybe 600$ a
year. Easy to get by donations) I see no reason to pay 50/year for that.

 I don't said that Steven did not do a good job, I said that there is other
people willing to do the job for free.
