I don't even see a board display. > >Regards >Dave tellicsnoalias set 1 Crafty v19.17 SE SSDF [Standard] (1 cpus)-> this line tells me you have "xboard" command the crafty.rc file move the exe to another file or delete the word "xboard" from crafty.rc you also have to set your path to the endgame tablebases - I use a test.bat (batch file to start crafty with these commands): wcrafty tbpath d:\tb bookpath=d:\book logpath=d:\crafty\log log=on mt=2 hash=96M hashp=24M cache=8M easy learn=0 easy turns pondering off -- otherise as asson as you paste a position, it starts to ponder. For testing, I like learn off. For game play, learn should be set to 7.
