You'll recall he was our first successful launch; but it must have gotten cold out in the stratosphere, so he's come back to the nest. Also joining the active list is EXchess, who played a whopping two games on his hot new Celeron. Notable Highest increase for the week goes to PostModernist, who is really playing well. In fact, I took him off my auto match list, since I wasn't having any luck <g>. TDChess also showed considerable strength. And SSEChessII again posted an increase, I think for the 4th straight week. Like to see what would happen if he got a fast machine. New personal bests were recorded by InmiChess (2322), Grok (2456), and SSEChessII (2442). Most active again was TDChess, who played an all-time u2600 record of 627 games, or one game every 16 minutes. Tournament? I had some inquiries about putting together a tournament, either an intra-club computer affair, or computers vs humans. I'd just like to say that the purpose of the club is to rate performance on ICC, which might be a more reliable indiator of strength than tourneys, due to the larger number of games played. It's not controlled, I realize, but things tend to smooth out over time. But any comments are welcome.
