Thanks for the analysis Albert. Testing this with Rebel 12 there were often switches between 43.Ne3-f5 and 43.e4-e5. e4-e5 is more spectacular and with more practical chances I think, especially against a computer that computes every black line as winning. Ferret won nevertheless so it was a winning continuation, or not? I don't remember right now what was the the best reply I found to Ne3-f5, but at least it wasn't an obvious move. I think Tal would have liked this game, and maybe CSTal too would play some of the "incorrect" sacrifices. Ferret played on a Dual 2x AMD 1.2 GHz in Maastricht, that is all I know. I believe Bruce had a Quad at home too but probably that didn't fit under the airplane seat. And, given that it was a hot summer and the airco's were on, it would have blown all the fuses in the hotel, no doubt about it. I said Pro Deo could not find e4-e5, but this was not entirely true, I later found back my analysis with previous settings NO SE 3 in Pro Deo 1.0 (page 47 of second document with analysis of the 5f type settings, how could I forget it): -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No SE 3 doet het wel goed!
