My favorite is by far the WeltMeister testsuite, with the results on identical
hardware of most of the top programs if not all. A number of *very* difficult to
solve, though correct they are. There is only one position I don't like, and
that is the famous Kasparov-Topalov rook sac, as the engines I looked at it
with, choose it for positional reasons and think it draws. There is an Excel
file attached that has formulae already included so you can add any tests of
your own, and see the calculated results.
