ChessPartner expect the prompt to end with a % symbol followed by a space. Other thing is to make sure you don't use port 5000, here I have tested with port 23 and this works fine. Wat seek string are you using ? Here I have tested with this string and this works fine: resume\nseek 3 0\nseek 2 12 Regarding slow resonses make sure you are not infected by some worm or virus, if you are on a network another PC may be infected and taking away all your bandwith.
