Bob Based on a pawn wieght of 100: How much weight should be assigned to a pawn occupping K4? (Center Control) and how much weight should be assigned to mobility? Is 100 points of mobility worth 1 pawn or should the mobility weight be a lessor amount. I am sure you have solved these problems with crafty and I don't want to reinvent the wheel. From all that I have read, Captures, center control and mobility are the three most important items in a chess program, besides king protection, passed pawns, etc. Thank for the information.
