Centrinos are lovely CPUs, and a 1.7 is probably equivalent to an Athlon 2500 or
thereabouts. In comparison to this, even the fastest Athlon 64 is only going to
extend the search depth a fraction of a ply, and whilst this would make a
difference to CPU v CPU matches I suspect it matters for very little versus a
human opponent.
