I've found the following position in a book by Averbach and Bejlin, it is from a 1946 game between Averbach and Friedstein: [D]3r1r1k/2q1bppp/p1bppn2/1p3PB1/3QP3/2N3R1/PPP1B1PP/5R1K w - - 0 3 Here Averbach played Rh3! (his own annotation) and went on to win with a nice mate combination. The following of the game was: 1... Qb7 2. Rf4! Nxe4 3. Bxe7 Nxc3 4. Qxg7+! Kxg7 5. Rg4+ Rh8 6. Bf6# Kiwi likes 1. fxe6 with an even score... what does your favorite engine finds?
