Thanks Steve.

Now I'm even more puzzled about this!

On the last page of the manual, under warranty, it sates that warranty claims
should be sent to:

REL PRODUCTS INCORPORATED (Service Center)
P.O. BOX 65
Largo, Florida 33540

then below that, under Service, it says that after 90 days games should be
returned to STAID INCORPORATED factory, Largo, Florida

I also have a 1-page advertise that says “a product of Staid Inc., a subsidiary
of C-RAN Corporation”

Do you have any of these companies listed on your manuals?

I actually opened mine (carefully) and was able to get references from the
circuit boards and components as follows:

On the circuit board:

CompuChess 1
STAID INC
LARGO FLA REV A
33540 7 77

There are 8 integrated circuits:

1) NS/642 LM 390 9N
2) NS 541 DS75492N
3) NEC JAPAN E78036-733 D2101AL-4
4) NEC JAPAN E78036-733 D2101AL-4
5) 32014-4950 CMCSI/STAID 7741 TAIWAN
6) 3853PC F 7734 SINGAPORE
7) SPRAGE 7529 ULN2033A
8)3850PK F 7739 SINGAPORE

Thanks again,

Ismenio
