When you goto Ebay just type in "electronic chess". You will find it there. Bill, Thanks so much for your posting. I did check the ones listed on eBay (I've found a bout 7 of them) but I couldn't tell for sure any of them is the first model released on 1977. I do have three of the ones listed and I don't believe any of the ones I have are from '77 but shortly afterwards. ( I have the Challenger with 7 levels, the Classic and the Voice Sensory). Also, I have to say I'm glad to meet you! I knew I had seen your name before! The Warlord Chess program! I downloaded it from some site a couple of years ago and just for fun I converted it to MUMPS, and I did give you the credit in the comments: WHEAXAD ;ISOUSA: Ismenio - converted ; 23 May 2000 07:46AM +1 ;Converted from QuickBasic program Warlord by Wm.H.Rogers (1998) +2 ; 0 ;NEW +1 ;Main arrays CHBOARD(120),INDEX(19),CENT(120),CAPTURE(6) +2 S CLS="#,*27,*91,*50,*74,*27,*91,*72" +3 G INIT INCHECK ;in check verification +1 F I=21:1:98 I BOARD(I)*SIDE=KING S K=I ;if king is there save it in K ATTACK ;attackers and defenders +1 S CHECK=TRUE,R=K ;set incheck flag to check and put king pos in R +2 ;look for checking with pawns +3 S K=K+(L*9) I BOARD(K)*SIDE=-PAWN G IC4 ;if incheck by pawn, exit +4 S K=K+(L*11) I BOARD(K)*SIDE=-PAWN G IC4 ;if incheck by pawn, exit +5 ;Look for checking by knights +6 ;@000 +7 S QUIT=0 ;to proper handle the execution levels in MUMPS (Ismenio) +8 ;@000 +9 F I=9:1:16 S K=R,K=K+INDEX(I) I BOARD(K)*SIDE=KNIGHT S QUIT=-1,I=16 Q ;G IC4 +10 I QUIT Q Buffer: WSHELL_546923268_WHEAXAD.TEMP Anyway, thanks for making that available for your reply! :) Ismenio www.ismenio.com/chess.html
