I aggree that a UCI engine would be *MUCH* more attractive since I would be able to use it under virtually any of the GUIs. However, since Christoph normally publishes his engines first with Lokasoft then Chess Assistant and finally ChessBase, I guess the CA and ChessBase sales would be badly affected if the Lokasoft engine could be used as a UCI engine under other ChessBase GUIs. This is a pity. I'll probably wait for the ChessBase version, but then again Lokasoft usually give great upgrade deals so I may just buy it! Once thing is for certain - I'm delighted that Christoph has produced a new engine!! Regards, Steve
