Therefore the course of the match is not a surprise at all. I am not the only one who thinks that situation in Chess is a complete mess. Solely responsible for this are Ilyumshinov and Kasparov, not the two players. IIRC Anand was FIDE World Champion at the time of Dortmund qualifier 2002. So he couldn't possibly participate. Michael
