It is certainly related to this subject. Anand-Kramnik should be more exciting
to watch.

As a spectator you have no right to see exciting games.
Both players want to win the match, they don´t care about spectators.

If one of these players obviously didn´t get anything out of the opening with
white pieces he offers a draw since playing on does not make sense to him.
He thinks the best result he can achieve is a draw anyway.
What usually happens if you play on nevertheless showed the last game. Kramnik
was clearly worse in the final position.

Leko went into the last game with the goal to draw it at any cost.
He always took the most securest route from his point of view.
So he agreed to the draw even in a better position.

If you want to see exciting games look at the games from the chess olympiad in
Spain for example.
