Hi,

I can reproduce the problem using Arena. I load an EPD file, hit the analyze
button and then setfocus on the EPD list and move rapidly up and down through
the positions with the cursorup/down keys. With the debug window open (F4) you
can see the engine eventually go 'deaf' and stop responding to any input for up
to a few minutes - and then suddenly it returns to normal and processes all the
buffered input without problems. Its quite bizarre.

I suspect WinXP's pipe handling. I haven't installed SP2 yet but I know of some
applications that relied on piped input which stopped working after SP2. It
seems there are problems lurking somewhere in XP's stdio handling.

Don't feel bad Alessandro, I'm sure a workaround will be found. I can see your
library being a very prized possession amongst the programmers here as it is so
easy to use, AND supports both Linux and Win32. Nice!

Best,

Ross
