EBay supposedly takes copyright infringemnet versy seriously has it pontentially
opens a bag of worms for them if they simply ignore it.

Authors should take als ocopyright infrigement seriously as well - as
unprotected copyrights may fall into public domain status.  "aspirin" and
"escalators" are two of the better known copyrighted names that fell into public
domain from lack of copyright enforcement.  "xerox" is a copyright that Xerox
has gone to great lengths to protect.
