Hi Juan, Thank you for your kind offer :o) Dan Corbitt maintains an FTP site with tons of useful chess data. In particular, he runs something called the Chess Analysis Project, which envolves a lot of people with fast computers and strong programs (mostly Crafty)analysing lots of openings very deeply. This has been going on for a long time now, and there is a substantial amount of data amassed from it. If you have not been there it is well worth checking out. The address is:- ftp://cap.connx.com/pub/ The specific file I am after is BRAINY.ZIP and is located at ftp://cap.connx.com/pub/Public_CAP_Results/Brainy/BRAINY.ZIP I have found in the past that after splitting and resplicing a ZIP file it will not unzip properly any more, so you need to unzip the big BRAINY.ZIP file first, which will unpack a single file which should be called Brainy.epd or something similar. Split that file, then rezip each slice separately to produce several smaller ZIP files no bigger than 10 MB each, which is about the most I can download in one piece. All the best, Roberto
