GA doesn't get anywhere near the depth of the other reporting programs
and I'm posing the question to the group as to how they get that depth
to 16, etc.

Latest settings:

#ifdef BEST			// 253 result for Pentium 3 and Itanium 64
#define NOFUNCX // Direct to quiesce from depth == 1 in main
#define MAXPLY 99 // Maximum ply to search to
#define FUTIL_R 0.00		// Futility at depth == 1 -- no futility for now
#define XXPLY_X			// Do cross-ply extensions ply, ply-1, ply-2
#define XPLY_X			// Do cross-ply extensions ply, ply-1, ply-2
#define QSCX_X_SUPP // Suppress extensions in search if extended
				// from quiesce
#define QSCX_X // Extend from quiesce to search for 1 ply
				// search if in check.
#define MSCMX_X 1.00 // Extend checking moves in main search
#define ONE_X 1.00		// One-reply extension
#define RECAP_X 1.00		// Recapture extension
#define BM_X 1.00		// Botvinnik-Markoff
#define MTHR_X 0.50		// Mate-threat extension
#define PAWN7_X 0.50		// Pawn to 7th extension
#define HASHNULLMV // Hash null move positions
#define NULLMVADAPTIVE // Adaptive null move,
#endif
