This game has special meaning for me since it is the only game I have ever
witnessed
live played by Garry Kasparov. It was played in Philadelphia 8+ years ago on
cold
day Saturday in February. It was game of the 6 game match, the only game I was
able
to attend. A fairly decent size live crowd attended the game.
The positions that the crowd was literally drooling occurred after 19.

The position begged for the patented Bxh7+! strike. GM Seirwan commented that
against any human, GK will play that move. The question arose, will he play it
against Deep Blue. GK plays a3 and then b4, obvious moves to chase the bishop
and
crowd black pieces in more. But he never did play Bxh7 and won the game
fairly easily. When asked why he did not Bxh7, Garry simply replied he did not
have to, he had an easy win regardless and why perhaps make a spectacular play
sacrifice that could either lose the game or throw the win away. His statement
made perfect sense to me.
Anyway - here is the position I will replay the game from , using the Crafty
19.17 SE Morphy personality against the just release Chess Tiger 2004.
Pondering is on for both side on my dual processor , Crafty is only set to use
